When the Movable Type installation directory is moved, the mt-config.cgi configuration file should be reviewed to see if there are any directives which need to be updated because of the change in the installation location, such as CGIPath, StaticWebPath, StaticFilePath, CaptchaSourceImageBase, etc.
If the location where you wish for Movable Type to publish weblogs has also changed, you would need to browse to the Preferences > Publishing page for each weblog within Movable Type and update the Site URL and Site Root settings with the new location (and update the Archive URL and Archive Root settings, if the "Publish archives outside of Site Root" box has been checked), then click the "Save Changes" button near the bottom of the page.
After making the above changes, you would then need to republish each weblog to update your published weblog pages with the new settings.
